Soda Ash Injection System in Clarksburg

Testing found water below pH 5.5. Mallick replaced the dated neutralizer with a soda-ash injection system designed to bring the well water toward neutral pH.

The treatment protects the plumbing system from acidic-water corrosion and supports the life of the new water heater.

Acidic water does nothing to the people drinking it. What it does is work steadily on copper, fittings and the inside of a new water heater, which is why it is worth correcting at the point the heater is replaced rather than later.

The injection system holds the well water at a neutral 7.0 rather than nudging it, which is the difference between slowing the corrosion and stopping it.
