Water line replacement without digging up the garden
A water main repair used to mean a trench across the front garden. It does not have to any more. Where the run and the soil allow it, we replace the underground line trenchless — the new pipe is drawn through or along the old path, and the lawn, the drive and the mature planting stay where they are.
Trenchless is not universal. Collapsed sections, tight bends and certain older materials still need an open cut, and we say so before the work is booked rather than after the machine arrives.

How a water line call runs
Pressure and water lines are the same conversation. Too little, and showering and laundry become a chore. Too much — anything consistently over 80 psi — and the line, the joints, the fill valves and every appliance downstream wear out early, which shows up as a run of small leaks rather than one obvious fault.
So we measure the pressure on a water line call as a matter of course. If it is high, a pressure reducing valve is the fix, and it protects the pipe we have just repaired from being the next thing to fail.
Find it first
We locate the leak before we open anything — the wet patch is rarely above the fault, and digging where the water surfaces is how gardens get opened twice.
Pressure tested
Pressure measured at the same visit, because high pressure explains a run of small leaks better than bad luck does.

What are the signs of a damaged or leaking water line?
Low pressure, wet patches or standing water in the yard, puddles indoors, an unexplained jump in the water bill, discoloured water, or new cracking in the foundation. The bill is often the earliest honest signal — an underground line leaks into the ground long before it shows itself anywhere you can see.
Can you replace a water line without digging up my yard?
Often, yes. Where the run and the ground conditions allow, we replace the underground line using trenchless methods, so the lawn, driveway and planting stay intact. It is not possible on every job — a collapsed line or certain bends still need an open cut — and we tell you which one you are looking at before the work starts.
Do you check water pressure when you repair a line?
Yes. High pressure is one of the main reasons a water line and everything attached to it fails early, so we test it as part of the call. If it is consistently over 80 psi we will recommend a pressure reducing valve, which brings it to a safe 50–60 psi and stops the new pipework being worn out the same way the old was.
Do you handle indoor pipes or just the main line?
Both. We work on interior supply pipes and underground mains. An underground main is assessed first to determine the route and repair method.
