How trenchless actually works
Instead of a trench along the length of the pipe, two small access holes are dug at either end of the problem area. The camera goes in first to diagnose the fault and plan the work; then the line is either relined in place or the damaged pipe is replaced through the existing path.
The old approach opened the ground along the whole run. This opens two points and leaves everything between them where it is.

Trenchless methods now cover the whole life of a sewer line rather than just emergency repair. Trenchless installation puts a new line in quickly; trenchless replacement swaps a failing one; and smaller repairs and maintenance can be done the same way.

How does trenchless sewer repair work?
