Is my clog in one drain or the main line?
One slow fixture is usually a clog in that fixture's own line. Several draining slowly at once, gurgling when another fixture runs, or water backing up into a tub points at the main sewer line instead — which is a different job, and one we put a camera down before recommending work.
What is the difference between cabling and hydro jetting?
Cabling cuts through a blockage to restore flow. Hydro jetting uses high-pressure water to clean the pipe wall and may be appropriate for heavy or recurring buildup.
Does store-bought drain cleaner work?
Generally no. It is sold as a solution to every clog and treats them all the same way, which is why it so often does nothing — and it can damage the line while doing nothing. It is also the thing we most often get called out behind.
Why does the same drain keep clogging?
